Keep him he is special teams GOLD and at wr won't be a huge threat but can draw a safety with his speed.

Mathis is a guy who can do well for us. He is unnoticed and that helps us. I think he can be a contributor to our team. He is surprisingly fast and can play WR too. I don't like using our WR's to field punts and kicks. It just tires them out and gets them banged up. I would keep Mathis. At least we know what we have in him. Sometimes the banged up guy you know; is better than the banged up guy you don't know yet. Shocked

Keep him. He doesn't make a lot of money and he's an explosive returner. It really is a low-risk move to keep him. However, if he's injury riddled AGAIN next year, I would probably not bring him back.
